On Rosh Chodesh you see Ya'aleh VeYavo and Hallel; on a day without Tachanun, Tachanun steps aside. Amud works out the Hebrew date from your location and the time of day, then shows or hides each addition for Shacharis, Mincha and Maariv.
- Today's davening, in order: Shacharis through the bedtime Shema, with Musaf, Hallel, Lulav or the day's Hoshana where they belong.
- Seasonal changes handled: Mashiv HaRuach, Tal U'Matar, Aseret Yemei Teshuvah, Al HaNissim, Aneinu and Nachem.
- Short halachic notes only when they apply, like "Say Ya'aleh VeYavo" on Rosh Chodesh.

Used to an ArtScroll siddur?
Many people daven from an ArtScroll siddur and look for the same thing on their phone. Amud isn't ArtScroll and doesn't include its text or translation, but a lot will feel familiar, and some things work differently.
What feels familiar
The order of davening in Nusach Ashkenaz or Sefard, Hebrew facing English, clear section titles, and instructions for what to add on special days.
What's different
Nothing to flip to: the day's additions appear in place, and what isn't said is folded away. Amud is free, works offline, and includes zmanim, a calendar and Tehillim alongside the siddur.

Is Amud the ArtScroll siddur?
No. Amud is not affiliated with ArtScroll or Mesorah Publications and doesn't include the ArtScroll text or translation. Its siddurim and translations come from Sefaria, under each version's license. If you're used to an ArtScroll siddur, you'll find the same order of davening in Nusach Ashkenaz or Sefard, with Hebrew and English side by side.
Which nusach does Amud have?
Nusach Ashkenaz, Nusach Sefard, Edot HaMizrach and Chabad, with a choice of Hebrew versions and English translations for each.
Does it work without internet?
Every siddur, font and rule ships with the app, and zmanim are calculated on your device, so davening works with no connection. Books in the Torah tab are a one-time download.
What does "amud" mean?
An amud (עמוד) is the stand the chazzan davens from, and also a pillar and a page. The logo is an open siddur resting on one.
